چکیده
Objective: In developing countries like India, the fatality rate of tuberculosis (TB) coinfected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is still at high and imposes significant challenge among physicians. The present study was conducted to evaluate management outcomes combined antiretroviral therapy (ART) chemotherapy or cotrimoxazole preventive (CPT) in TB/HIV co-infected patients. Methods: on 3512 confirmed TB patients who were treated ART CPT therapy. Out these, HIV positive 58 cases negative 3414 cases. algorithm KHB- Statpak- Unigold used. Patient started CPT. Results: Percentage coinfection greater 20–40-year age groups 2 times higher PTB sputum-positive Among extrapulmonary cases, 76% took + ART. treatment success 86%. Conclusion: Thus, must be established all centers compulsory screening implicated throughout country.

Saraceni et al.1 report the results of the THRio observational cohort, which showed an 89% increased risk of mortality when antiretroviral therapy (ART) was delayed (more than 60 days and less 365 days after tuberculosis (TB) treatment) during HIV-associated TB. However, the median CD4 count at TB diagnosis in this cohort was 150 cells/ L, a fact that may compromise the generalization and inter...

BACKGROUND Tuberculosis was a major public health problem, given the estimated one billion people infected between 2000 and 2002.1 A decrease in the incidence of tuberculosis was observed in the last decade, coinciding with improvements in social and healthcare conditions and availability of more effective antituberculous therapies. However, in the last two or three years, this decreasing trend...
